What Is the Sour OG Strain?
Sour OG is a 50/50 hybrid strain created by a seed company called Cali Connection. This strain was created by crossing two legendary strains, San Fernando Valley OG was crossed with Sour Diesel. Without a doubt Sour OG has took the best assets from it’s parents. While the strain being a hybrid split 50/50, it brings the best off both worlds, you will get a body high whilst also experiencing being productive if you wanted too. You will see THC vary around the 20% mark if grown correctly. Whilst on the other hand you will see this strain doesn’t pack its punch with very low CBD, as little as 0.02%. The effects you will see from Sour OG will be a small buzz and a happy feeling you can wind yourself down with. Also you will find you will crave the munchies with this smoke too. Experience a sweet taste and floral flavors which tantalize the taste buds. Sour OG’s sweeter notes are offset by earthier and more pungent flavors which give the strain its distinctive taste.

Growing Sour OG
It is a strain you will enjoy growing. Sour OG is naturally highly resistant to mold and mildew. This plant grows best in a temperature range of between 68-80 degrees Fahrenheit.
To achieve a great yield from your Sour OG plant, you will have to train the top of the plant regularly to maximize the amount of light exposure to the buds, you can do that by many different training techniques. Effective pruning of this plant will result in a dense coating of trichome-covered buds. A basic and regular feeding schedule is sufficient for this plant.
Expect a flowering period like others, aim for around 7-9 weeks off flowering make sure it is flushed towards the last 2 weeks off your grow. If growing outdoors aim for October being the ideal month for harvesting. A Sour OG plant grown indoors will produce a yield of around 16 ounces per meter squared while a plant grown outdoors will produce 19 ounces of bud per plant.
